3 and 4 Year Old Classes – September

It's hard to believe the first two weeks of preschool have already passed! We expect a degree of anxiousness from the children at the start of the school year. Entering an unfamiliar environment and separating from the comfort of their caregiver’s arms can be frightening. We were pleased to see how the children (each with their own level of comfort) came into the classroom, found their places, made connections with peers and the teachers and, in a relatively short period of time, began to feel safe and self-assured. 4 Hour Class - Here We Go Again!!!

Here we are at the beginning of a new school year! For the first week the 4 hour class eased into things by trying out some familiar things, some new things and getting to know each other! Spending time in the classroom gives us all a chance to get to know each other! Sometimes we played with others, and sometimes we prefered to spend some time on our own. Different options gave the teachers a good sense of what kinds of toys to bring out in the future. One thing is for sure - we really love to play! We explored our outdoor options as well - At our own playground, at Paulik Park, and at a park that we have named "Climbing Spider" Park. We also went to the library, talked about what makes us unique, and played some drama games! We are off to a great start and can't wait to learn and grow together over the course of this school year!
